Message from the CEO – April 2019

Our core value We Always Win Together was on full display in Q1. In this message, I want to update you on the following:

  1. How we gauge client and employee satisfaction
  2. Industry awards we achieved Q1
  3. The ever-growing concerns on cybersecurity
  4. The employees who achieved awards for outstanding efforts

Client & Employee Satisfaction

Without satisfied clients and employees, there is no business. There are many ways to gauge satisfaction, and the one I like most particularly is the Net Promoter Score (NPS) process. It’s a simple question:

“On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best, how likely are you to recommend NetGain [services or employment] to a friend or colleague?”

…followed by an open ended response of why they scored that way.

This gives your clients and employees a way to give candid feedback positive and negative in one centralized place. Just a tip – We recently adjusted the way we survey our clients from email to phone calls and received twice the amount of responses, plus it adds a nice personal touch for clients.

For Q1, we scored in the excellent category for both clients and employees.  We are always striving to do better internally and externally.  In fact, another core value is The Constant Pursuit of a Better Way.  Happy employees create happy clients and that is what we do at NetGain Technologies.

In addition to the NPS process, NetGain was also named as a Best Place to Work in Kentucky among many great companies in the state. Our employee survey results ranked us among other top Kentucky employers for the fifth year in a row.  We made the Hall of fame!

Managed Services Provider Certifications

It is always rewarding to be recognized by high-value, industry-specific organizations like CRN®, a brand of THE CHANNEL COMPANY. In March, NetGain Technologies was named to CRN®’s 2019 Managed Service Provider (MSP) 500 list, in the Elite 150 category, and their 2019 Tech Elite 250 list.

These awards recognize North American solution providers with innovative approaches to I.T managed services and providers that have earned the highest number of advanced technical certifications from leading technology suppliers, scaled to their company size, respectively.

It is rare in the IT industry to find local, growing managed services provider that also invest highly in technical certifications to maintain a deep bench of expertise that assist our clients across the technology spectrum.  This is one of our strengths and an advantage over the competition.  It takes great scale to be able to have highly certified engineers for delivering projects and managing the outsourcing of I.T.

Cybersecurity Concerns

According to a recent Cybersecurity Ventures report, a new business will fall victim to ransomware every 14 seconds in 2019 – and every 11 seconds by 2021. This is a very concerning statistic. To date, NetGain has been called by many companies in our region to help recover from a cybersecurity attack.

Earlier this month, NetGain’s Technical Director of Security Scott Logan presented “Ransomware: The Impact to Your Business”. He presented an excellent overview of what happens when a ransomware attack occurs, and provides best practices and preventative techniques that you can begin to put in place immediately.
