Senior Consulting Systems Engineer

The Consulting Level Engineer is a demanding leadership position on the Professional Services Teamwhere the primary responsibilities are creating revenue from Projects, and other billable Services engagements.  Position will be primarily consultative/client facing and not a simple IT Support position. A CSE occupies the highest level engineering position in our company and will be leading our clients in their IT initiatives. Individual should have strong writing and communication skills and should also understand the cost justification behind recommended solutions. This position will be delivering IT Projects and serving our current client base.

 

The Professional Services Team is engaged primarily when a new solution is required for the client. The team is led by Senior Management and consists of a Technical Writer, Project Managers and seasoned, highly certified IT Consultants each with 10+ years of experience in IT engineering at the top of the field. The Professional Services Team’s technical expertise encompasses; Cloud Solutions, Messaging, Unified Communications (Telephony), Software Defined Networks, Software Defined Data Centers, Data Protection, Business Continuity, Wireless Solutions, Advanced Networking, Virtual Desktop / Application Delivery Strategies, Virtual Chief Security Officer (vCSO), Endpoint/Perimeter/Global/Cloud Security, and Microsoft Training for end-users to increase productivity.

New solutions are implemented generally as fixed-fee projects inclusive of Project Management, Professional Services Implementation and required hardware or software. The Professional Services Team targets project implementation in under 30 days from the point where all hardware and software are available for implementation (where possible).

The Professional Services Team is also the final technical escalation point for NetGain Technologies for incident or problem management occurring within a client’s environment.

 

The Professional Services Team are the technology thought leaders for NetGain Technologies owning the technical direction for IT solutions in a rapidly changing marketplace. The team is responsible for driving our internal processes and disciplines surrounding the adoption of new technologies to bring to clients, maintaining our existing technologies, measuring the effect of our technology solutions for our clients and sunsetting (end of life/end of services) technologies.

 

We would like for the CSE to have 8+ years experience with the technologies below, although it is not necessary to be an expert in each area.

Specialized Skillsets:

    • Networking: Firewall / ASA / VPN Troubleshooting (IKE Phase 1, IPSEC Phase 2), Routing, Switching (Spanning Tree, VLANs, Layer 3 Switching), Dynamic Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), QOS, and Cisco Firepower. Wireless Experience preferred.
    • Unified Communications: Cisco Finesse, Cisco Contact Center Express (CCX) Scripting, SIP, PRI, H323, IP Voice packet flow, Jabber, Voice Gateways, Unity, Cisco Expressway, Understanding Dial Peers, Hunt Groups.
    • Cloud Skillsets: Microsoft Azure (Compute, Backup, Site Recovery), Office 365 (Email, Encryption, Legal Hold, Microsoft Intune MDM), Powershell Scripting, Cloud Networking (VPN / Expressroute).
