Current Position Available:
Tactical Remote Engineer – Tier 1
Our Tier 1 TRE’s are the first line of defense when a client calls in for technical support. Some of the technical competencies that would be expected of a Tier 1 TRE are: workstation (software, printers, networking), server (AD, Exchange), basic VOIP, mobile device configuration, vendor management, and ticket escalation. This position is a very fast pace position requiring proficient multi-tasking and time management skills. Customer service skills are essential for this position. The Tactical Remote Engineer is responsible for clear and consistent communications with NetGain Technologies personnel and NetGain Technologies client contacts. The TRE also provides Technology OneSource services for NetGain clientele.
At NetGain Technologies we require all of our TRE’s to become certified. We would like for candidates to have a current A+, Network+ or Security + although they are not required. After joining our team, we require TRE’s to begin working toward the Microsoft MTA’s (within 90 days), then moving on to accomplish the MCSE, CCNA and VCP Certifications. Completion of certifications provides employees with additional compensation as well as opportunity for advancement. NetGain covers the cost of all (approved) certification exams and study materials.
Opportunity for Advancement:
The Tier 1 TRE has a wide range of opportunity for advancement and growth within the organization. The immediate next step would be to move into a Tier 2 TRE position, followed by the Tier 3 TRE position. For those two positions, completion of certifications and on the job training would be required. At NetGain, we also have Tactical Field Engineering positions, Technology OneSource Consulting Engineers, and Professional Services Engineers if an employee is looking to move into a field engineering role within the organization.
