Meholovitch wears Business Controller mantle at NetGain Technologies

Lexington, Ky. (January 11, 2017)—John Meholovitch has held several titles since joining NetGain Technologies as a staff accountant in 1992. In December 2016, the director of financing and purchasing added a new one: Business Controller.

Meholovitch’s responsibilities in nearly 25 years of service to the managed I.T. services provider have included purchasing, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax returns, and tax reporting.

When John started here in 1992, he joined a team of only a dozen colleagues,” said Rick Ward, EVP-Finance and Administration. “He worked for Don and Molly [Jacobson], the first generation of owners. A quarter century later and now with about 160 employees, the third generation of the family still entrusts John with the company’s finances.”

In his new post, Meholovitch will assume a more consultative role working with all departments to improve processes and overall business performance.

John’s new role as Business Controller is a logical extension of what he’s been doing for almost 25 years,” said Ward. “He’ll retain accounting responsibilities, but now he’ll take on a more direct management role in the staffing of this department. NetGain’s executive team will look to him to work with other departments to drive efficiencies and establish effective cross-department procedures.

Meholovitch helped to integrate ConnectWise software into NetGain’s accounting processes and workflows. As a ConnectWise certified professional administrator, he works with the software provider to improve the application for managed services providers worldwide. That experience will be integral to Meholovitch’s strategy as Business Controller.

My goal is to use and improve our existing processes and business tools to fully utilize the potential of the great people here at NetGain Technologies and improve our bottom line,” said Meholovitch.

In his new post, Meholovitch will continue to report to Ward, and will work closely with Jason Jacobson (CEO), Brendan Jacobson (President), and Christa Hurst (Director of Project Operations).

Meholovitch’s philosophy for maintaining passion for his work is to embrace change. “What’s the adventure for today? That’s what makes it exciting and worthwhile.
