No Time For Downtime

“The police department was forced to relocate due to some environmental issues, but our existing phone system could not be moved because it was tied to the 911 center. We had to develop a new solution for the temporary building we were going into in less than a month’s time,” said Lt. Robert Swanigan, the department’s IT manager. “This project had to be completed immediately. There wasn’t time to do a lot of investigating or shop around. We contacted NetGain Technologies and told them what we were facing because we knew they could help us.”

It seemed like an impossible task. Yet NetGain Technologies was able to spec out a Cisco IP telephony system and get it implemented, installed, configured and set up in less than 30 days — all within the department’s budget. “We were on a pretty tight budget,” Swanigan said. “We had to be out of our old building but at the same time we couldn’t bankrupt the city trying to get into a new location.
